CNN.com - 'Rambo' director dead at 64 - Apr 25, 2005

Man, this has got to be the worst. I always feel bad for these guys who did something remotely famous but then they never quite achieved the level of fame to be known by their own name. So then, not only do they go through life as "you know him, the guy who did [insert random famous thing here]," but when they die, they get the headline "Rambo Director Dead at 64" or "Inventor of Spray-On Hair Dead at 89" (b/c everybody knows that spray-on hair leads to a long, shameful life). But you never see this for people whose career rose above the one hit wonders. What if Johnny Cash's headline had been "'Ring of Fire' Songwriter Dead at 71"?
Wouldn't you had been mad? Of course, I say that and then I find his actual CNN obituary... "'Man in Black' Johnny Cash Dead at 71." At least his name was there....
